Obedience of Faith Corp is launching a Building Fund Campaign to secure a dedicated location that will strengthen our ability to serve the community through transitional housing, support programs, and outreach initiatives. Having a stable, physical space is essential to provide consistent services, coordinate resources, and create a welcoming environment for those in need.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to cover one year of rent, utilities, and building costs. This investment will ensure that our programs can operate in a safe and stable location, allowing us to focus resources directly on serving young adults, seniors, and families in need.
To reach this goal, we will actively pursue:
- Grant funding from foundations and community development programs.
- Individual donations from supporters who believe in our mission.
- Fundraising events to bring the community together while raising awareness and contributions.

Wilson House Transitional Program Support
The Wilson House Transitional Program provides safe housing, stability, and supportive services for young adults in transition, including those aging out of the foster care system or experiencing housing insecurity. Our mission is to help residents build a strong foundation for independence while accessing resources, mentorship, and life skills training through our program.
To continue offering a safe and supportive environment, we are seeking donations to address two critical areas of need:
- Home Maintenance Fund – $2,500 Goal
Maintaining the Wilson House requires ongoing professional repairs and upkeep to ensure the home remains safe, comfortable, and functional for residents. This includes projects that require skilled trades such as plumbing, electrical work, and structural repairs. Establishing a dedicated maintenance fund of $2,500 will allow us to address these needs promptly and protect the integrity of the home.
- Resident Support Fund – $750 Goal
Many young adults entering our program arrive with little to no personal belongings. To ease their transition and help them begin building their new lives, we are establishing a resident support fund of $750. This fund will provide essential items such as bedding, toiletries, kitchen supplies, and clothing for new residents as they move into the home and start their journey toward independence.
By creating these two designated funds, the Wilson House Transitional Program will not only maintain a safe, well-kept living environment but also ensure that each new resident feels welcomed and supported. With the help of donors, community partners, and supporters, we can continue to provide a stable home and the tools young adults need to succeed.

2nd Annual Coat Drive 2025
The 2nd Annual Coat Drive 2025 is a community initiative dedicated to providing new winter coats—not gently used—to foster youth and young adults in need across Cumberland County and Johnston County. This project seeks to bridge the gap for vulnerable populations who often face the cold months without proper outerwear, ensuring they have warmth, dignity, and protection during the winter season.
Our goal for 2025 is to raise $7,000, with $3,500 allocated to each county. At an average cost of $35 per coat, this will allow us to provide 100 brand-new coats per county—a total of 200 coats for foster youth and young adults. This target builds on our success from the previous year, when we were able to distribute 100 coats to each county’s foster care system.
This year, we are partnering with local businesses and community organizations that will serve as official drop-off locations and host vendor opportunities for the drive. We are continuing to engage additional partners to expand drop-off options, making it easier for supporters to contribute. Community members can give through monetary donations online at obedienceoffaithcorp.com/donations or through tangible coat donations. Designated collection days prior to October 15, 2025, will allow donors to bring coats to these locations, where they will be gathered and prepared for distribution.
The coats collected will be distributed directly to youth currently in foster care, as well as young adults who have aged out of the foster care system and are in need of assistance. By focusing on new coats, the project emphasizes dignity and self-worth, ensuring each recipient receives a quality item they can be proud to wear.
This initiative is more than a coat drive—it is an opportunity for the community to come together in compassion and action, meeting a critical need while supporting youth who often feel overlooked. With the help of local partners, businesses, individual donors, and online supporters, the 2nd Annual Coat Drive will make a meaningful impact on the lives of foster youth and young adults in our region.

Senior Care Support Initiative
The Senior Care Support Initiative is a collaborative effort between Extended Hands Assisted Living & Home Care LLC and Obedience of Faith Corp to ensure that vulnerable seniors in our community receive the personal care support they need, even when they cannot afford it.
Extended Hands frequently receives referrals for seniors who qualify for only a limited number of service hours. However, after completing assessments, it becomes clear that many of these individuals require significantly more support to remain safe, healthy, and independent in their homes. Without additional help, seniors face increased risks of isolation, falls, poor nutrition, and declining health.
Through this initiative, Obedience of Faith Corp will serve as the fiscal partner, raising funds to cover additional hours of care for seniors who otherwise would go without. While not intended to sustain long-term services for each client, this project provides short-term, high-impact support by offering:
- 4-hour visits, twice per week, for a period of 2 months per senior.
- This level of care allows aides to assist with personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and other essential daily activities.
At a rate of $28/hour, the cost per senior for this 2-month support package is $1,792. Our total fundraising goal is $17,920, which will provide 1,280 hours of care for 10 seniors in need.

Essential Needs Support Fund
Through our partnership with Extended Hands Assisted Living & Home Care LLC, Obedience of Faith Corp is launching the Essential Needs Support Fund to help seniors and clients who lack access to basic household necessities. Many of the individuals served by Extended Hands face financial hardships that prevent them from consistently affording food, cleaning supplies, or laundry products. Without these essentials, their health, dignity, and quality of life are compromised.
The Essential Needs Support Fund will provide:
- Groceries and pantry staples for clients struggling with food insecurity.
- Cleaning products and supplies to help seniors maintain a safe and sanitary home environment.
- Laundry funds and laundry products to ensure clothing and linens remain clean, supporting both hygiene and dignity.
By establishing this fund, Obedience of Faith Corp can step in quickly when case managers or caregivers identify urgent needs during client visits. Donations will be used directly to purchase items or provide small stipends to cover laundry costs, helping ensure no client goes without these basic essentials.
This initiative ensures that when seniors receive care at home, they are supported holistically—not only with personal care services but also with the resources they need to live in a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
Every $25 donation can supply cleaning products, every $50 can provide groceries for a week, and every $100 can cover a month’s worth of food and household supplies for a client in need.
